Implementation of a Stress Risk Assessment  – 1 day

This is essential knowledge for senior staff, now tasked with the HSE legal requirement to identify the corporate requirements for a Risk Assessment for Stress within the context of European and WHO regulations.  Starting with clarification of the differences between stress and pressure, senior managers will learn how to implement an effective Stress Risk Assessment using the AMC² Corporate DiagnosticÓ audit tool.  Staff involvement and motivation are key to this survey and senior managers will be able to integrate their unique corporate culture to produce a clear and decisive plan.

Stress Awareness for Managers and the Implementation of Management Standards - 1 day

Removing the clutter of poor practice, making way for a clearer vision and  improved employee performance . This course is appropriate for middle and senior managers to appreciate both the causes and costs of organisational stress, whilst understanding the current legal framework of stress so they can implement the Management Standards and competencies. We will demonstrate that these standards can be used to motivate and engage staff enhancing their overall well-being and so their ability to work closer to their potential. Managers are also trained to carry out a Personal Risk Assessment on staff.

Stress Awareness for Staff - half day

A thorough and up to date exploration of both the personal and external causes and effects of excessive pressure with useful, easy to use strategies they can apply immediately. This course is appropriate for all levels of staff and is the basic training necessary for companies to initiate a positive attitude and approach to workplace stress throughout the organization.

Resilience Building Strategies - 1 day

We specialise in resilience training, which is a quality that helps turn adversity or difficulties to your advantage. It is in effect, a package of skills, attitudes and behaviours that you can learn or develop at any time in your life and is not dependant on previous experience.

This course is primarily aimed at Senior Executives, Managers and Line Managers and will provide an opportunity to:

  • Learn and develop the necessary core skills, to skilfully problem solve and remain optimistic under pressure, raising the bar in managerial best practice.
  • Develop an enhanced optimism with a ‘can-do’ attitude enabling you to bounce back from difficulties and disruptive changes at the same time as helping you become less vulnerable to the effects of stress.

This highly interactive day includes questionnaires for self-assessment and individual resilience planning.

Developing Confidence  -  Half day

This is a short yet intensely powerful half day is suitable for employees at all levels. Self-confident people have qualities that everyone admires; they also inspire confidence in others, which is one of the key ways in which a self-confident person finds success.

AMC² understands how self-confidence can be learned and developed, it’s the bridge to success.

Self-confident people are:

  • Generally more positive – they believe in themselves and their abilities, they also believe in living life to the full.
  • Are able to build self-confidence by setting and achieving goals – thereby building competence

Part of the session will include an opportunity to review the importance of developing your assertive skills. This is a way of behaving that strikes a balance between the two extremes of aggression and submissiveness, an essential skill for all and particularly for management.

* If required the assertive component can be expanded to provide a full 1 days training.

Coping with Conflict - Half Day

This introductory, interactive half day is aimed at those who may face having to deal with conflict in the work place. Conflict happens when:

  • What you want is different from what you can have.
  • Because someone else wants the same thing.
  • Someone wants something that keeps you from getting what you want.
  • The seeds of conflict at this point are in place.

AMC² will show you how to address conflict through healthy, effective and productive communications

*This half day can be expanded to include bullying and harassment

Developing Communication - 1 day

Spend a day exploring all aspects of communication – how we talk, listen and absorb information based on Neuro Linguistic Programme (NLP) concepts. This workshop will enhance lines of communication in your organisation, improve relationships and open up new dialogues between employees. It will also develop the management competencies.

*This is provided as a single training day but also forms the basis of the Training the Managers to Coach course.

Training managers to coach - 5 days (includes the Developing Communication 1 day course).

Run over a period of 3 months this course is a continuation of the Communication course.  It enhances essential management skills to improve listening, questioning and reasoning skills resulting in less conflict and increased understanding of employees’ and managers’ behaviours.  Based on the GROW coaching model it ensures that all conversations, meetings and interactions have a well-formed outcome for all participants.

The use of Emotional Intelligence (EI) is used throughout the day to great effect. AMC² encourages you to examine the vital role emotions and habits play in performance and reaching potential. Emotional Intelligence is something that successful leaders have in abundance, and is something that you can develop on this course too.

Group Coaching - 1 day or as required

Coaching top teams for elite performance can provide a hugely supportive mechanism for leaders coping with a myriad of challenges. The business case for this coaching option has never been stronger and is now being embraced by more and more top companies.

Where a common goal or need has been identified within the organisation, or major changes are imminent (e.g. company relocation, redundancy, takeovers and mergers) then group coaching for senior executive teams, including boards and middle management, are extremely effective. This day will enable larger numbers to process simultaneously a greater number of issues than would normally be possible within standard time frames.
